Montepeloso

“We want to produce unmistakable wines from the Tuscan coast.”
This is the objective of Fabio Chiarelotto, who has been at the helm of the winery since 1999. Eighteen and a half hectares are currently cultivated as close to nature as possible.
International critics also rave about Montepeloso:
“Montepeloso is one of the emerging superstars on the Tuscan Coast.”
Antonio Galloni
“This is fascinating, intriguing stuff with a particularly distinctive character
rather than another Cabernet or Merlot.”
Jancis Robinson
Nardo embodies the strictly limited selection of the oldest vineyards. The uncompromising concentration on the best grapes of the respective year enables the excellent quality of this Italian-Mediterranean world format. Nardo is matured for 18 months in 40% new 400-liter tonneaux. The wine is then aged for nine months in the bottle before being released onto the market. Production is around 3,500 bottles a year.
