2014 Fortuna Cabernet
Carters 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Vineyard is laced with the essence of raspberry jam, cloves, licorice, spice and menthol. Rich, unctuous and powerful, the 2014 exudes depth and the concentration that is so typical of this wine and site. The tannins are a bit firm today, but another few years in bottle should do the trick. Relative to some of the other wines in the range, the Fortuna is a bit light, especially through the middle.
