2019 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru

From five rows near the southern end of the Clos, on the way to Grands Echézeaux, that extend from the Nationale up the slope to Les Maupertuis. These 50-year-old vines are planted in a combination of clay and limestone, giving a wine that is supple, fresh, with an agreeably forward red and black berry fruit, plus a texture which is supple and approachable, yet not lacking in substance.
