The 2020 EABA (End All Be All) is composed of 65% Syrah, 22% Mourvèdre, 10% Grenache, and 3% Viognier, using 70% whole clusters. It spent 22 months in 50% new French oak barriques. The wine was still in barrel when I tasted it, due to be bottled in a few weeks. Opaque purple-black colored. Rockets from the glass with vibrant notes of crushed blackberries, wild blueberries, and black raspberries. plus suggestions of lavender, wild sage, and tapenade with a waft of rose oil. Full-bodied, the palate has a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins and wonderful freshness supporting the generous black fruits and savory layers, finishing long and perfumed.
