2018 Blaufränkisch Reihburg

Deep, youthful nose that needs some aeration to open up. Black raspberries and mulberries. Then it leads you into the powerful but fresh palate that has a tannin structure that reminds us a bit of high-end Pomerols. Way more floral there than on the nose, the finish dark and cool. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2023. (James Suckling)
