Brilliant violet. Mineral-accented aromas of fresh dark berries, licorice, olive and pungent flowers pick up a smoky nuance as the wine opens up. Vibrant cassis and blackberry flavors are lifted and sharpened by a spine of juice acidity and a cracked pepper flourish. Becomes sweeter with air and shows excellent clarity on the long, smoke-tinged finish, which features harmonious tannins and repeating florality. (Josh Raynolds / Vinous)
