2015 Les Trois Maries
Wow, utterly sensational, and one of the finest wines I've ever tasted from the Roussillon, the 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Les Trois Maries is a blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah that was vinified in concrete and aged all in foudre. Giving up utterly profound notes of black raspberries, licorice, toasted spice and that chocolaty minerality only found from this region, it has a huge palate, sweet tannin and a finish that won't quit. This should flirt with perfection at maturity, and while it doesn’t come cheap (there’s a scant 200 cases made), don’t miss a chance to latch onto a few bottles! (Wine Advocate)
