2015 Clos d'Agon Tinto
An international-looking blend that's 41% Cabernet Franc, 36% Syrah, 11% Petit Verdot and the rest Merlot, the 2015 Catalunya Tinto spent 18 months in 60% new French oak. Deep purple-colored with seriously good notes of crème de cassis, lead pencil, leafy herbs, and spring flower, this beauty hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, fine tannin, integrated acidity, and a great finish. It shows more floral and tobacco notes with time in the glass and has impeachable balance and purity. It's seriously impressive. (Jeb Dunnuck)
