The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Yountville sports a deep garnet-purple color and is scented of blackberry preserves, cassis and preserved plums with a very spicy undercurrent of cinnamon toast and fired Indian spices plus wafts of bay leaf and cigar box. Medium to full-bodied and built like a brick house, the palate gives firm, chewy tannins and seamless freshness, supporting the berry preserves and spicy layers, finishing with great persistence.
